Health and Hope: The Making of a Doctor 1 - April 3
Today we take a look at a unique project led by Fr. Mike Snyder in Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania. While serving as the chaplain at Muhimbili Hospital and medical school, Fr. Mike has begun to build strong relationships with the many Catholic medical students in attendance there. These students see their faith as part of their professionalism and hope to be part of the change needed in their homeland.

Life Saver
Today we take you to Kenya to tour a brand new maternity clinic in Matisi village in Kitale, Kenya. Here 1 in 16 women will die either in pregnancy or in childbirth. We visit with Physician Assistant and Maryknoll Lay Missioner Kathleen Dunford, currently serving as the Clinical Officer at St. Raphael's Health Center. On the day we visited, Kathy and her right-hand woman, "super-nurse" Edna, would bring the clinic's baby number 7 into the world.

Tomorrow's Afghanistan

Today we talk with award-winning journalist Edward Girardet, author of Killing the Cranes: A Reporter's Journey Through Three Decades of War in Afghanistan.
