Often patients do not receive the right medicine in time to cure them, even when such medicine is available! Today we talk with Associate Professor of Biology at Haverford College Iruka Okeke, author of Divining Without Seed: The Case For Strengthening Laboratory Medicine in Africa.

A Shot Away

A Shot Away is a docu-drama about sexual assault in the U.S. military, based entirely on interviews with American soldiers who have been sexually assaulted by their "fellow" soldiers. Today we speak with the docu-drama's author Donna Fiumano-Farley, Director Melanie Moyer Williams, actresses Laura Anderson and Jackie Sanders.

Cruelty Kills

Despite anti-bullying laws enacted in 47 states and numerous ad campaigns, more than 4,000 teens and pre-teens kill themselves each year as a result of bullying. 14 year-old Jamie Rodemeyer shot himself after reading an anonymous post online which read, "Jamie is stupid, gay, fat and ugly. He must die." Our guest today has a lot to offer on the subject of kid on kid cruelty. He is a Martial Arts Instructor and a school lecturer on his counter-cruelty program, www.TheKidsAreUnited.com. Adam Mitchell is next on Voices.
